Building technical expertise.

As a student of The New School’s Continuing and Professional Education program, I had the opportunity to participate in the “Fashion Design: Sewing and Construction” course that enabled me to execute my vision for integrating fiber arts and garment construction. During the course, I became adept at navigating various machine stitches and understanding techniques for blending different mediums when designing clothing (e.g., linens with wool yarn).

I was inspired by patterns commonly seen in traditional Indian block-printing and recreated them with yarn to embellish my linen-based designs.
