A journey to the source.

On a textile tour with ‘Thread Caravan’ and ‘We are Kal’ in Ladakh, we visited Kharnak, a Himalayan mountain village, to gain firsthand exposure to traditional wool sourcing. We followed the journey of wool from the sheep and yaks living in the mountains down to the local artisans in Leh city where they spin, dye and weave the wool into highly intricate rugs and scarves.

The care in every step of this traditional wool sourcing practice has deeply inspired my own creative practice and my personal will to build a sustainable future.
